  • 1. REMOVED AND REPLACED THE FRONT LOWER BALL JOINTS. 2. REMOVED AND REPLACED THE FRONT UPPER CONTROL ARMS AND THE BALL JOINTS. 3. REMOVED AND REPLACED THE RIGHT FRONT AXLE ASSEMBLY. 4. REMOVED AND REPLACED THE RIGHT FRONT WHEEL BEARING AND HUB ASSEMBLY. 5. LUBRICATED THE OUTER TIE ROD ENDS.

PERFORMED A ENGINE COMPRESSION TEST. 1 – 131, 2 – 136, 3 – 140, 4 – 144, 5 – 146, 6 – 101(LOW), 7 – 141, 8 – 137 LBS IN2. 3. REPLACED THE SPARK PLUGS. 4. REPLACED THE IGNITION WIRES. 5. SERVICED THE MASS AIR FLOW METER AND THE THROTTLE PLATE. 6. INSPECTED THE ENGINE AIR FILTER, OK. 7. INSPECTED THE VACUUM SYSTEM, OK. 8. CLEARED THE PCM MEMORY AND THE ADAPTIVES. 9. TEST DROVE THE VEHICLE WHILE MONITORING THE PERFORMANCE ON THE LIVE DATA STREAM, OK.
  • 1. REMOVED AND REPLACED THE POWER STEERING PUMP. 2. FLUSHED THE POWER STEERING FLUID. 3. REPLACED THE A/C BELT AND TENSIONER ASSEMBLY. 4. REPLACED THE PRIMARY BELT AND TENSIONER PULLEY.

OPERATED THE VEHICLE WHILE MONITORING THE FRONT DRIVETRAIN. -OBSERVED THE FRONT AXLES BINDING/CLUNKING WHILE TURNING. -THE FRONT AXLES ARE ENGAGED FULL TIME, THE VEHICLE WILL EXHIBIT A CLUNKING NOISE WITH THE FRONT HUBS ENGAGED WHILE IN 2WD. (THIS CONDITION IS NORMAL FOR THIS SPECIFIC VEHICLE) NOTE: OPERATING THE VEHICLE WITH THE FRONT HUBS ENGAGED FULL TIME IS NOT RECOMMENDED AND WILL RESULT IN PREMATURE WEAR OF THE FRONT AXLE U-JOINTS AND RELATED 4WD COMPONENTS. ==– DIAGNOSIS WAS PERFORMED FREE OF CHARGE. –==
  • INSPECTED THE FRONT AXLE U-JOINTS. – THE RIGHT FRONT U-JOINT HAS FAILED AND HAS DAMAGED THE AXLE SHAFT BEYOND REPAIR.
  • REMOVED THE FRONT WHEEL BEARING HUBS AND INSPECTED, THE RIGHT FRONT BEARING AND HUB ASSEMBLY HAS BEEN SEVERELY DAMAGED AND IS NO LONGER VIABLE. REMOVED THE FRONT AXLE SHAFTS, THE RIGHT FRONT AXLE ASSEMBLY IS DAMAGED BEYOND REPAIR. REPLACED THE RIGHT FRONT AXLE SHAFT ASSEMBLY. REPLACED THE LEFT FRONT AXLE SHAFT UNIVERSAL JOINT. REPLACED THE OUTER AXLE DUST SEALS. REPLACED THE AXLE SHAFT VACUUM HUB SEALS. THE RIGHT FRONT FOUR WHEEL DRIVE LOCKING HUB ASSEMBLY IS DAMAGED BEYOND REPAIR. REPLACED THE RIGHT FRONT LOCKING HUB ASSEMBLY. REPLACED THE AUTOMATIC HUB VACUUM HOSES AT THE STEERING KNUCKLE. UTILIZING A HAND OPERATED VACUUM PUMP, TESTED THE OPERATION OF THE VACUUM OPERATED FOUR WHEEL DRIVE HUB ASSEMBLIES, OK.
  • THE FRONT DIFFERENTIAL OIL DISCOLORED AND IN POOR CONDITION. REMOVED THE FRONT DIFFERENTIAL COVER AND DRAINED THE FLUID. CLEANED THE SEALING SURFACES AND REPAIRED PREVIOUS DAMAGE TO THE FRONT DIFFERENTIAL COVER SEALING SURFACE. SEALED THE FRONT DIFFERENTIAL COVER UTILIZING SILICONE SEALANT. RENEWED THE FRONT DIFFERENTIAL OIL WITH THE FORD APPROVED 80/90 GEAR OIL.
  • REMOVED AND RESEALED THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL COVER. DRAINED THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL. RENEWED THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL OIL UTILIZING THE FORD SPECIFIED 75/140 SYNTHETIC OIL. INSTALLED THE FORD RECOMMENDED FRICTION MODIFIER.
  • REMOVED THE FRONT DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER ASSEMBLY. REMOVED THE INNER AXLE SEALS. CLEANED THE DEBRIS FROM THE AXLE TUBES. REPLACED THE INNER AXLE SEALS. INSPECTED THE DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER BEARINGS AND RACES, OK. INSTALLED THE DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER ASSEMBLY. MEASURED THE RING GEAR BACKLASH. – (.008", OK) UTILIZING MARKING COMPOUND, INSPECTED THE RING AND PINION GEAR CONTACT PATTERN, OK. TORQUED BEARING CAPS TO SPECIFICATIONS.
